Full-time Face & Body-Painter
Lucie has been doing face and body-painting since 1990 in Montreal, New-Orleans,
London, Holland, France, Spain and Japan.
She has established herself in Calgary, Alberta (western Canada) in 1998,
where she mostly does corporate work as well as attends to some local
and not so local festivals and special events.
Beside using water-based theatre makeup products, she also works with
temporary tattoo inks for longer-lasting art.
She is partial to sponges and brushes mostly, preferably to airburshing
methods. Her lines are sharp and precise, her style coloful and lavish.
With so many years of experience, she can work very fast and for hours
on end.
Her ambitions are to keep on working doing what she loves, get better
at it, be able to travel with it, and take time to finally participate
in some body-painting competitions.
Her work was shown in many newspapers around the world, and an article
about her was also published in The Face and Body Art International Magazine
(volume 11, summer of 2004).
Lucie won 3rd place at Seeboden in 2007 in the category Sponges and Brushes for body-painting, and 2nd place for face-painting. More recently, on May 2nd, 2008, she got first place at the Canadian BodyArt Championships in Calgary. On May 30th, 2008, in Vancouver, she won 2nd place at the Dominelli Body-painting Carnavale.
