My interest in Face /Body painting started in the 70s when I was travelling through India and Africa. The colours of the peoples and their clothes/ environment were very inspiring. I love people and people watching!
I taught myself to face paint in the early 90s since then I have aquired Cert 11 in art and Cert 4 in Workplace and Assessment. I am now recognised as an international artist and now teach Face and Body Painting and Temporary Tattoos.In 2005 at the International Face Body Painting Convention in the USA,I demonstrated my Face painting skills. In 2007 I spent 4 months Travelling the World networking with other artists and doing Avatar, I am now a Master/Wizard. I did the FX make up for Halloween in the US and also taught a FX workshop at the US Body Convention. I am also the first Australian to join FACE. My first time at the WBPF was in 2002 when it was still the European Body Festival. I have entered three times and have made it to the finals each time.I am a lone artist, not by choice.I organised a Body Art Carnivale in Eumundi which helped our Artists to start networking. Coming to the WBPF has made it possible for me to network with the best painters in the World.It has helped me become a better artist. I have made good friends and feel like I am part of a big family!
