| BodyFX, a small creative company based in Wellington, New Zealand,
was
founded by Nicole Heydenrijk and her daughter Yo* Bartram in the year
2000.
They specialize in body painting, face painting and fantasy make-up. Also
the creation of prosthetics, masks, props and costumes belong to their
expertise.
The BodyFX team has New Zealand’s best face and body artists, and
won many
national and international awards. The growing company attracts Kiwi
artists, like colleague Karen Havican, who is a fantastic all rounder
in
Face / body and canvas painting.
Although the originally Dutch team is highly skilled in all aspects of
the
business, Nicole has her specialities with prosthetic work and special
FX.
Yo* is more into fantasy make up and face / body painting. Together they
have over 30 years experience within the make-up and body-art industry.
While working predominantly with brush and sponge, all artists are also
skilled in the use of airbrush.
BodyFX caters for a very wide audience, from Birthday and Glamour parties
to
Product Launches and Advertising. They gained a reputation in organising
all-round performances that include body art, costume, props etc. The
dancers and actors who give life to the BodyFX creations have a very high
standard of work.
Body Art Rocks® is an annual event organised by BodyFX, incorporating
Wellingtons’ only national, professional body paint and make up
competition.
Among the judges is Academy Award winner Richard Taylor from Weta Workshop
Ltd. The competition will be presented to the public as a multi-media
show,
including performances designed by BodyFX. For more information about
